Yes, you would know if it has already happened. He has to call immediately. No choice. It is a supervised call...anything that would affect his PIR date will negate a supervised call home.
And, no, I'm going to miss you because I love to be able to help you guys through this...so all questions are welcomed!
guess who? i know i sound like a broken record, but...
diannep--if he is going to be separated or asmo'd, do they require him to call immediately? or does he get to put it off (if he is discouraged)? in other words, if that has already happened to him, we would know it? if he has been moved to RCU, would we know immediately? (aren't you gonna be glad when THIS mom has moved on?)
pianomom: He has not be asmoed(setback), right? He is still in the division, I believe. There is no PIR on 6/24, so there will be no Thurs night (6/16) BattleStations for the next group---normally he would have had until Thurs to make his float and complete BattleStations with the next group that night.
Sooooo the last time he could call you before PIR could be on Wed, 6/15 saying he made the float and will doing BattleStations that night with the last PIR 6/17 group. I know...cutting it close. But like Lala said, no problem cancelling with the hotels or the rental car, most likely. Unless you booked through something like Expedia....I know those sites have their own rules. But if you separately booked the hotel and car, I think you are ok. Stay put for now! Don't change anything!
I've been praying every day for your SR's ladies...! What a WORK of faith we are going through.! It has been such a hard practice to keep my mind on the fact that no matter what this looks like, no matter what falls in these young men & women's pathway that they have to overcome, crawl over, and make their way through. There is a GREAT furture for them!
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
SO Lord, we give you our faith and we declare YOU have plans for our children, and there will always be hope and a future for them in you.! And we rest in our guts with peace, that no matter whether they are sailors or not, they WILL be amazing people, difference makers, and overcomers with greatness in YOU.! We thank you Lord today that you CARE about everything WE care about, and we ask you for your best for all of the SR's in Jesus Name.. amen.
Phew.... I NEEDED that too. I got a letter from my SR yesterday saying that the crazy beating of exercising started back up, and it was so tough 3 quit. He said it took everything he had to keep going, and said he never wanted to quit anything that bad in his life... but was holding on! praise God.!
Hang in there ladies..!! Miracles!!! we pray for Miracles..!!!!!
Let US Pray For Those Who in Bootcamp
