meryl:  So sorry to hear about your son...but hoping that he starts feeling better (maybe already has since letter was written?) and can get the run done.  Even if he doesn't graduate with his division, he will hopefully before PIR (with another division's BattleStations or the next PIR group's BattleStations).  I know it is hard to miss the division grad since that is a very emotional time for them...but as long as he finally gets there!  Praying for those who are struggling right now.

Dang, that is awful Audrey. I hope that gets better soon. You would think it would have gone down with the antibiotics. I think I will go get some antibiotics today before I get any worse. :-)

Lala-I feel your pain sister! Almost 2 weeks ago, I was brushing my hair and noticed that the right side of my jaw was swollen.  I poked around on it and it was hot and hard.  This was the Saturday before Memorial Day so I had to wait until Tuesday to call my doctor.  My doc couldn't see me until Friday so I went to the ER. They said it was just a blocked salivary gland and gave me an antibiotic and some pain medicine.  Of course, after a couple of days of puking my guts out, I noticed that the pain meds contained something I'm allergic to.  It doesn't hurt too much anymore, but it is still huge and hard as a rock.  I look like the Elephant Woman!

@Lala- not trying to lecture, but is there a urgent care clinic/ walk-in medical center you can go to? I wouln't wait until Monday if I were you to get an antibiotic(that was me wearing my nurse hat).

Meryl- I feel your pain. My son is not graduating 6/17. He actually wishes he could graduate 7/1 b/c he said the president should be there for PIR ( yes, Obama!!!!). But, we both know he won't graduate until his 6 year term is almost over!! (okay, or maybe September - projected heal time).  A 16 lb weight loss is scary. He's so handsome in your picture. I hope he can gain his weight back and thrive on his tests.

Lala could be shingles.....look on line....sorry you are not feeling well.

My SR is in 09/206. Got a letter dated June 3-5.He said this week they are doing fire fighting and applications (?).  They have a lot of classes with a lot of stuff to learn in a short time.

Their division is now a senior division which means people get out of their way when they march. They had to demonstrate their marching skills to other div.

My SR does not have his orders yet either....that's the news as of June 3-5.Only four days behind.....

They are working hard to be the best they can be!!!!!

My SRs mom told me he said he was something he called the Forward hold Petty officer? He says other people look up to him because "i'm never down or anything and i always know what to do"  So that's good.

Linda, sorry I haven't been on today.  Yes, we'll be leaving from Hobby on Southwest Airlines on Thursday.  I forgot, are you using Bush or Hobby?  Got a letter from Jeff today.  He is still sick and has lost 16 pounds.  He is a slender boy and he definitely didn't need to lose any weight.  He still can't pass the running test.  He said there's a very good chance he won't graduate with his division.  He is terribly depressed.  All I can do is keep sending him letters of encouragement.  I wish I could help him more.

Thanks meryl, I am beginning to think it may be a bad sinus infection too. That is the only thing that makes any sense at all.
