It's Thursday, wonder if we'll get mail today....  would be nice.  Would love to hear some needed info from my own SR instead of through you guys!   Time will tell.  : ) Shouldn't be too hot Saturday for Captain's Cup if the storms hold off.  Can you believe "Captain's Cup" can be talked about for the SRs in our PIR group?  Hope they stay well and those who are sick get MUCH BETTER!

Patty - my daughter is in 931 and I have not heard anything about Battlestations or when she is leaving for A school (San Antonio). I am with you, they probably don't know either. I still don't know if she passed her run. Trying to think positive. No news is good news, right?

Ladies, don't be upset with your SRs.  They probably know as much as we do at this point.  The letter I received from my son last Friday said that he had not yet received his orders. I'm hoping for another letter this week!  My SR is Div 931 and except for the "I'm here" call, 931 has only received one other phone call.

Military motto - hurry up and wait!

By the way, has anyone heard when 931 is doing Battlestations?

Oh Thanks Meryl I thought I was the only one in the dark. I never heard about your flight plans I'm sure your flying out of Hobbie right that's close to you anyway...What's wrong with them why wont they tell us anything? I think I'm going to wear like white slacks and a colorful top I am going shopping this week who knows what I will end up with

Same with me, Linda.  Yesterday I was weepy and my stomach was queasy and I seem to be anxious all the time.  I knew it had to be a combination of missing my son, eagerly awaiting the ceremony so I can see him again and thinking about all the SR's and their families too. Like you I wish I knew more about his grad & go.  Hoping for a letter that will tell me more. I'm still debating about what to wear but I do know it's going to be somewhere between casual and dressy.  Do you know what you're wearing?

Oh my gosh. Why am I so emotional? Everything is making me cry...I'm a little upset with my son I have no idea what is happenening with him grad n go or what he hasnt told me anyway I guess I'll find out. I'm hoping for a letter or call or both today.Have ya'll decided what you are gonna wear???
Comment by diannep on June 9, 2011 at 8:01am
...oh, one more thing.  Not all of the sailors will want to take personal items to A School. Mine did not...so I just mailed him his cell phone once he arrived.
