Marie:  No, it is not the same.  You will need to call the Public Affairs Office

847-688-2405

Tell them the PIR group that he started with.  They most likely will ask you for that password.  They will confirm that he is graduating with the new PIR group and give you the other password then.

Gate pass is up!  Here's the link.  Remember, type the word in ALL CAPS:

Linda:  It should be up sometime today....it is just before 10 am up there....keep checking throughout the day.

Hmmm, good point, pianomom on the "overboard" issue....other than someone yelling "SHARK! SHARK!"!

meryl:  Hope you have your form letter which should have arrived shortly after your SR left for bc.  The password should have been written in by your SR.  In all caps.

Praying for all of the "floaters" and "runners" today!

@pianomom- he actually told me that while they are floating face down the RDC's are yelling at them and poking them - probably trying to make it a worst case scenario. My son moved to his new division on Tues. June 1st and that was the latest he would have known anything.

meryl-hopefully, you did receive the form letter not too long after your SR arrived at bootcamp.  we got ours.

donna-no, we're not anxious--lol  EXTREMELY EXCITED!!!!!!!!!  HOOYAH!!!!!!!!

i have been checking for the pass too.  :)

to meryl--isn't the secret password for you to use to get gate passes on the form letter you got from your SR?  it seems like it was on the 3rd page in all caps.

to KC'smom--if you talk with your son, will you please check on our son for us?  how is the floating thing going, will he be set back, will he be allowed to run battlestations, etc.    I am sad because he didn't call yesterday to update us.  i wish there was a way somebody could stand in the pool beside those having trouble with floating and sing to them (a bit distracting), recite poetry, read a book, tell jokes,  or talk about the NBA PLAYOFFS--anything to get their minds off of the clock so they can just keep floating, for crying out loud!!   but i guess if you have gone overboard in the ocean somewhere, you don't exactly have somebody there with you to help, right?

KC'smom, somone told me about LivingSocial.com just last week.  I haven't looked into it yet but probably will today.  Thank you. I'm with you.....leave Boot Camp to my son!

Diannep, thanks for the link to Navy lingo.  Really helps to understand now what they're talking about!    You mentioned the availability of gate passes.  Should we have received some type of form letter about graduation?  I haven't seen anything in the mail about that.  Thanks.
