ty's mom, thanks!  I thought you were the one.  You're right.  There is so much to learn just so we can talk intelligently with them about their BC experience and throughout their Navy career.

tysmom, thanks!  I thought you were the one!  I wasn't sure. You're right.  There is so much for us to learn as well so we'll know what they're talking about throughout their career with the Navy.

Is there anyone here who has a son/daughter going to sub school after graduation?  I believe there is but I can't remember who it was.  Thanks.  My son will be going to Groton right after PIR.

I was out of town yesterday so I'm catching up today on your comments.

Cayster, thanks for your encouraging words. I hope your son is feeling much better by now.  I will be praying for him.

Diannep: you are so right!  Our SR's do learn to appreciate their friends and family more since they have been in BC.  I never thought my son would actually verbalize that he needed us.  It made me sad but so happy too!

Thanks for everyone's prayers!  You're all so special to me!

Linda, I agree with you.  Sailors are handsome! (and Sailor girls are beautiful!)

I have a friend from N4M's who ordered ribbons a couple months ago for PIR. I just got a message from her and she said she was at a parade in Milwaukee and saw some Sailors in the Parade. It was a drum line and some others. She asked one of the group leaders what DIV they are with and they are with the 931 DIV from this PIR group. The told them they looked and sounded great and did a great job. She took a video of them and is going to send me the video so i can post it here for you all to see. It is so nice of her to do this and to ask which DIV they were with so she could let you all know how great they look. I will post the video as soon as she sends it to me. Have a great day :-)

Squeekerz:  So happy you go a call from your fiance twice yesterday.  Sounds like both of you are in better spirits.  Hope YOU feel better soon from your infection.  Ugh, I've had that before too.
