pianomom: Will be praying for him....I bet he will get it done before PIR!
As far as being "on the flag," he could mean that his name is on their division flag. I have seen some previous divison flags with "names" on them. The SRs design it themselves.
Ari'sMom: Congrats to your SR! That is great. That means that she moved from E-1 to the next level, E-2, in her "rating." They call it "rank" in the officer's mode. Means more pay for her too. She can actually get promoted to E-3 while still in bootcamp. That is the highest than can be promoted while there.
I'm assuming since you said she is gradngo that she is flying out to A School? GradNGo is a term that has somehow developed lots of meanings now, according to RTC! You can still bring those things to her. She can use them while resting in your hotel room on PIR day. Also, if placed in a solid black or navy (no designs or labels) backpack or duffel bag (carryon size), she should be able to take them with her to A School. Make sure that you are in compliance with airlines carryon rules. And, you will need to meet her at the airport to give this to her. She will not be allowed to take it back to RTC.
Hi everyone
Got a letter today. Can anyone answer what an E2 is. My daughter is very excited she was promoted to an E2. Also she has been SIQ to (sick in quarters). bedridden for a day. Sorry for all the SRs that have been sick. She passed her swimming test (thank god) and her second PT. They are getting tested this week on personal weapons something about P1/WT1 (zone inspection). If they are a grad n go does anyone know if I should be bringing her clothes, laptop, cell up for A school when we go to the graduation on 6/17. Thanks for the help.
Linda--i too am concerned about the military cuts. what in the world?
Joy125--i agree--this is a great new family. and i hope that whatever the next 2 weeks bring for our SRs, that we moms will stay connected on N4M somehow. will you guys still come back to this site and see where we all have landed after 6/17?
plz continue to pray for our SR--his letter today was from last weekend, saying he still cannot float for 5 full minutes. he is inching his way toward that mark, but i don't know if he will make it or not. and he didn't even mention all the other tests, so i don't know what he has done or hasn't done. he was supposed to go to the "shrink" (as he called it) and talk about working through his fears about floating. to me, if you can swim, how can you say you have fears if you cannot float? o well, they know, i guess. anyhow, please pray that he will pass this hurdle. he did say that "he" is on one of the flags--what does THAT mean?
and he did say that BS for their div starts monday, june 13
