Pianomom, I was thinking the same thing about "withdrawal pains" from the group.  I like fireteamleaderwife's suggestion to start a "After PIR" group.  What do you gals think?

Thanks, Connie.  My son is heading to Pensacola after BC.  I can't wait to visit! I am a beach person and the beaches there look beautiful!

i can already tell that i am going to go through withdrawal when this site is over.  it's like a graduation from 1st grade to 2nd grade--can't we just all go together?

to mama cindy--THANK YOU for the message!!   i still didn't receive a private message, but, o well.   all that really matters is that you are lifting our concerns for our SR to the God who can do something about his needs.

Folks...I had an issue with letters too. My Sailor got Pneumonia.

He had also enlisted and was gone three weeks later. No prep time in DEP. So the transition was a lot.

STILL, I wanted mail! You just do!

I figured I was WORTH some IT if he got caught "sneaking" writing after lights out! LOL

But I know better than that...he would not dare to break a rule knowingly!

I know he is not a "writer" either.

I was still a wreck and very sad. I made up a customized questionnaire from all the other ones available on the site and sent it. I kept writing...it was hard.

So, I vented to my poor hubby and he said that he DID need to write. I also had a few "friendly" words with my recruit. I had to judge that though...

He took it like a man!

I just kept saying the mantra, "No news is good news. No news is good news." and boo-hooed to my friends on here!

Now, he calls every day...and texts...pretty soon, hopefully, email!

diannep- sorry, ummm gotta learn to keep up with the posts I do.

No, it is a Sailor that had 180's Chief.  She felt like a "knidred spirit" of sorts and joined to help us out!

Yeah...BattleE for the four areas, CNO and then Hall of Fame.

180 had high marks in Battlestations (4.78 out of 5) and won Captains Cup (male DIV) and motivational chant but lost CNO and Hall of Fame. Just by a few points!

They pulled together early on as a DIV and did VERY well. We had lots of continual colds, pneumonia and pink eye right at the end. Two honor grads and  one of those two was the Top Honor Graduate for the TG...so I am all "puffy chested" about 180! LOL The swelling in my head has gone down now folks!

They had great RDC's, especially their Chief I hear.

I can't remember the qualifications for H of F. It has to be points too. I know CNO is.

Motivational chant is a chant that each Division makes up to yell at certain times during Captains Cup.
