My SR has been moved to Ship 05.  He said he'll be coming home soon.  I can't wait to see him again. :D

Still waiting on a call.  I'm praying hard for the "I'm a sailor Mom" call.  Hopefully it will come soon.

Well, here was my predicament. I had a note to be of work due to my foot. But, that would use up my vacation hours and we need to use the vacation hours to go see my son!!!!!!  So i had to go to work in pain to preserve my hours!!!!  My Lord, if that boy only knew what I went through for him!!!

KC's mom-Don't you love it when some stupid doctor who knows you are a wife and a mother of small children tells you to "take it easy"?  I remember getting pneumonia one time and the doctor (who knew I had 2 little boys and one big boy at home) that I was to be on total bedrest for the next 10 days!  I told him that, if I did that, the house would tumble down and children's services would come for the boys. He insisted I do it.  His daughter went to school with my SR so I told him to call his wife and tell her what he wanted me to do.  He picked up the phone in the exam room, told her and I could hear her first laughing and them screaming at him.  I can only imagine what happened to him when he got home. LOL

Oh, my son's fractured Talus bone sounds like it's healing better than my torn foot tendon. I guess it I had all day to focus on healing and P.T. maybe it would be healing faster. But, life still goes on for me and I don't get to stay off of it much. Dr. said the more I stay on it the longer it takes to heal. The choice was mine. Well, when you are a nurse and still have 2 little mouths to feed at home we have decided that I need to stay on it and take the longer healing time.  hahahaaa. Still wearing my fracture boot.

Hello all!  Just checking in with everyone.....KC's mom, good to see that your son is making progress!  Donna....you are going to like Pensacola!  I've been there many, many times!  There are some really nice beaches there....I so envy you!!  My daughter's A school is in Great Lakes =(.  Pianomom.....we won't leave you!  I joined another group but this one is like "home base".  I'll be checking in periodically, and giving updates on my daughter's progress.  I love the fact that I can talk to her on a daily basis now!  I just wish she weren't so far away.  I haven't seen anything from Squeekerz lately.....did her guy decide to leave the Navy?  Audrey, hope you get to feeling better soon!  Sounds like you've got some good meds 0_o.

Wow what a wonderful weekend we had with our son! Saturday we went shopping for things for him and Sunday took the train into town caught a taxi to Navy Pier. We left Sunday evening 7:30 and arrived home 7am, it was a long drive home I didn't want to leave.. N4M has been so great- take care everyone!

Ty'smom, it was great meeting you at the airport last week when our sons left for Groton.  I wish the very best for your son.  Have you heard from him this week?  I have heard from mine a few times.  I don't know if you read my post that said he shocked us by announcing he and his girlfriend are marrying on July 2.

KC's mom, I have been thinking about you and your son so very often.  From what I have heard water exercise is very good therapy.  I am happy to hear your son has become a great swimmer.  Glad he has an instructor who doesn't scream too much.  Prayers for you and your son.  How are YOU feeling?

Squeekerz, keeping you and your dear one in my prayers too.

pianomom- now you know I will be here for the whole summer!!!!!  I am simply homeless for now. I don't even have a division to join. No updates in a week. He told me that he has become an excellent swimmer b/c there is a navy diver/ corpsman that is with him during water physical therapy- that is the only staff that has actually been nice to him (although he still yells and makes him do push ups a lot, he is nice when he's not yelling).  The pool has been kind of empty so the diver man gave my son some extra swim lessons and now he has become a really good swimmer. He could swim to begin with but I guess now he can swim with good technique!!!!  I was so glad that at least somebody is being nice to my boy. (In a drop down and give me 10, kinda way)
