My SR called today too!  He said they sent him to the recruit evaluation unit...  He didn't really explain about it.  Said he took a test and scored way high in three points, which is bad...  She tried to admit him into the psyche ward there....  He's not depressed or angry or anything, so I don't know why he'd need to be admitted.  She said he suffered from delusions of grandeur though... His response was, "See, I'm more awesome than I thought."  lol

Great news!  My SR called today and got to talk to his dad for the first time in 8 weeks.  The best news though, is that he passed his running on Friday!  Thank you Lord!  He will go through BS on Thursday, then it's off to Goose Creek!  I'm so happy and proud.  Thanks for all the prayers you wonderful moms sent our way! I love you all!

I got my weekly phone call from my son. He is sooo tired of being in the injured division. Poor thing. He was already moved up to phase 3 of P.T. I think there are only 4 phases. He is soooo super determined to get out of there.  He set a goal of 6 weeks healing time rather than the 8-10 weeks suggested. The doctor told him the quickest recovery from this type of fracture that he saw was 6 weeks so that is what he is aiming for. I don't want to give him false hope, but , I told him to get it done then!!  hahahaaha. I want him out, too!!  Congrats to all you ladies (man) that got to see PIR.  My day will come and I can't wait for it.

@ pianomom It was nice meeting you & your husband at the Meet n Greet. Yes, it was odd - the culture shock thing they experienced this weekend. My sailor said he never expected that reception when they opened the door at PIR. He said it sounded really loud (we did good for them!) and that he has never had anyone stand up & cheer for him. He also said people stopped him at the airport & thanked him for his service. He said he felt sort of bad because he hasn't "really served yet"  But I told him he has already done a lot and to be proud!
