I'm wondering if tonight is the 1st good night's sleep you moms from 203, 204 and 931 have gotten in 8 weeks or if you're too excited to sleep!  About to head on our trek and wait for our SRs call.  I am so thankful that I feel at peace with BS, and so thankful that he's a part of it!

I can't believe they'd do something like that!  Now I'm paranoid about what could happen to my SR!!!

Ladies, if you can't sleep...or rise real early...here is some fun stuff to read that will hopefully reduce some stress!

Good Luck to all remaining SR!

Congratulations to you all who have new Sailors!

I am keeping my candle "burning" (it's flameless) for all of you still going through BS.

I am sorry...have been very busy today...I will try to go back and read what I may have missed.

PIR-Binoculars...if you got 'em, bring 'em! If not, you can pick up a pair at Wal-MArt for probably close to $10.)). There is a Wal-Mart in GL. I stayed at the Navy Lodge and on the drive over to the Ramada saw it. I shopped on the way back to get some "staples" (snacks) and FORGOT to buy binos!

Joy-how sad...so hard to have to such extreme things in one day. The poor mother...and in a phone call too.

Thank you Lala.....it is such a horrible thing for anyone to go through.

Patty, you might still need the kleenex, unless the handkerchief is awfully big!  What a nice thought.  I know your Dad will be with you regardless =)

Comment by Patty (Ship 2 Div 931) on June 14, 2011 at 11:30pm

Packing:  GPS - check, camera - check, everything packed in his "black bag" - check.  With all the crying we'll be doing - don't forget the kleenex.  Oh, lightbulb just came on.  When my Dad passed last year, I took one of his handkerchiefs to use during his services.  I think I'll bring it Friday so I'll have a piece of my Dad with me.

Oh Joy, that is so sad. That poor young mom. I can't even imagine what she must be going through. My thoughts and prayers are definitely going out to her and her family.
