Thank you, Tysmom.  Life is so fragile...and so precious.  I really do savor every bit of joy I stumble across!  I will be blubbering like an idiot on Friday, that's for sure.  Oh, you'll recognize me immediately.....the one with the goofy smile and mascara running down my face.........=)

Congrats to all the new sailors and good luck in Battlestations for the remaining divisions!

To all waiting for that call, my heart goes out to you... Today was the longest but held the biggest joy ever. Hang in there and know the call is coming...

Joy, I am so sorry for your classmate. I lost a baby shortly after birth, very sad. It makes you much more empathetic to those who loose young children before birth or through a tragedy such as this.On Friday your tears will be joy for her and sympathy for your classmate.....you will be able to hug your SR with more feeling than you ever had before. I will be praying for you and your classmate.

I'm a little late in posting....it was a bittersweet day.  Had finals at school this morning and during the exam, one of the new moms in my class received the worst phone call of her life.  Her dear son was only 4 months old; it was probably SIDS.  When I got my "I'm a sailor" call this afternoon, it brought such joy.....of course I did not say anything about what had happened.......would not, could not diminish her happiness in any way.  But for me it was such a clash of emotions........extreme sadness and sheer delight. I miss her even more than ever, and can't wait to proudly watch as she marches through those doors.  We do not know the value of our moments until they are memorys.

Sean's mom, I am the person who makes the ribbons. I accepted your friend request. I don't think there is a way to get ribbons to you in time for PIR but if you would like for me to check on it let me know.

Check this out ladies...!!!!  My sailor said that his commander found out that I was on this sight and he had to do 5 extra pushups for every time I posted something..  I told him I have no idea how he would know it was him since I have used a code name for myself and have never posted even his first name.  He said he found his picture.. (shoot) Man he musta really been looking for something!

to Audrey--we need to meet somewhere, put both husbands in one car and us in the other.  we will be sitting on the bleachers as early as possible, and if they don't get there, o well...they will be having a little roadtrip.  that sounds JUST like my husband, and yes, we will stop ON THE WAY BACK HOME TO VISIT HIS GREAT AUNT....:)
