I thought you all would want to see this pic posted on facebook an hour ago. In commemoration of Naval Station Great Lakes' 100th anniversary, students, staff, and veterans participated in a "Living 100" on 14 June 2011. This event took place on Ross Field, in front of historic Bldg. 1.

Got a one hour call from my daughter (931)!  She finally passed her run yesterday and then BS last night.  She is exhausted but happy!  She went through BS with 209 and 210.  Can't wait to see her on Friday!

Ladies what an amazingly exciting time this is for you   You will never forget the Im a Sailor call (or the waiting for it!!) or the PIR celebration.  My son's PIR was 3/18/2011 and occassionally I still jump into a PIR group to read their excitement about battlestations   My son right now is in Pensacola Fl and loving life  He is expected to graduation end of July but many in his PIR group are already off to new and exciting places   Keep those phones handy!
