Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 213 and 214
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Shelly don't cancel anything yet, hold off as long as you can. Your recruit should have at least one or two more tries to pass his PFA.
They are told to call at this point, and tell you not to come, and don't go unless you hear back saying he has passed. This is a scripted call, and it is a hard one to make, but hold tight on canceling anything as long as possible. I would hate for you to get a call at the beginning of next week letting you know he has passed and will be at PIR.
If he doesn't call again, don't go to PIR. Your son will pass his PFA then go right to A School.
Hugs your way, and hang in there!
Hi Shelly - I feel your concern. A few weeks back my son called saying he didn't pass his PFA and then got moved to a different division and his PIR got bumped another week. I was heartbroke on what he was going through...they DO get to do their tests again and if your SR passes that will be wonderful but if he/she gets bumped another week or so it's OK. It's what is best for them. It makes them stronger and more positive. My son went from 178 lbs. when he got there to 164 lbs. He went from feelings of this is not for him to this was the BEST thing he has ever done and is really positive etc. Good luck to you. It WILL all work out for the BEST and you will be able to see your sailor graduate and be sooo PROUD! Hang in there!
Hi all! I'm new to this group. My son is in Ship 13, Div 213. Marvin Shields. Has anyone gotten the "I'm a sailor" call yet? Just curious. I'm feeling really anxious and ready to see my son next week for PIR. I didn't get to see any pics of him on FB because the one time his Division was in any pics he was on watch.
I haven't gotten any calls yet either ive got my cell phone on and next to my elbow at work here! Im getting really anxious to see my boy! I didn't know they had any pics posted of Div 213, I'll have to dig a little deeper to see if I can see my SR. Crossing my fingers we get that call soon!
Yes, my phone is fused to my hand today too. Check the Mother's day pics that were posted. It's the ones where they are sitting in a classroom. My son unfortunately was on watch that day. But hopefully you spot yours.
I just got my "I'm a Sailor" call from my son! Ship 13, Div 213. Congratulations to all the Sailors. See you all June 19th for PIR. I'm crying happy tears.
