Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

A gift indeed. I was at the grocery store when I got the text and picture. I was a mess. She told me the ceremony is amazing!! So excited for all of us to see our Sailors on 6/20

Got my letter today! Div 203 ship 11 - she said expect THE CALL on June 17th - so looks like 204 and 203 are doing Battlestations together. She's made 5.0 on all her inspections and past all her PFA's. Also she made the Division Flag Team so she will be right up front holding the Division Flag. Still waiting to hear about Honor Recruit. I'm on proud momma right now. She sounded great, great spirits and good health - God is truly amazing! Hope everyone else gets letters this weekend! Can't believe it's only 2 Fridays! Whooo hoo!

Hi ladies. I am a happy mother right now. A friend of mine sailor graduated today. She sent me a text Look who I found. It was a awesome picture of her son and mine with smiles from end to end. He looks thin but to see that smiling face made my day. This is going to be the longest two weeks of my life. I chased the mailman down today to give him a letter. Haha.
