OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Well most of us by now got that call we'd been waiting for. My Sailor said there we're a small few in div 204 that didnt pass. One was a good friend, my sailor felt really bad...but he'll get there. Pls keep those that didnt pass in your prayers. My sailor was very soft spoken ,mature& serious sounding. Hes usually out going &
humorous. Im sure he was exhausted. I cant wait to hug him tight. Have a safe trip & God bless
Im sure he was exhausted.

Praying for your son Carla.  I hope it was nothing serious.

TMansmom, I'm happy you got your call!  My understanding is they have to be in Navy gear whenever out in public but not necessarily the dress whites.  Like, I think they could wear the NWUs, but of course I'm not sure... Hopefully one of the vet moms will answer.

I got a call from him about an hour ago from my son. He passed BS and is a sailor. He was eating that was the last thing he remembers. He said he "passed out". At the hospital they did tests and didn't show sign of seizure. He was heading back to the ship after he got off the phone. He's worried that they won't let him participate on Friday. Asking for prayers.

Got a call from my sailor in div 203!! Can't wait til Friday! Too happy, My son is a USNAVY SAILOR! Excited to meet you all, we're here! "HOOYAH!"

Best Call ever!!!!!  She said that the reason why they didn't do battlestations Monday night is because not everyone passed their final PFA's and they had to get rescheduled until everyone passed.  But good news they all passed and are now UNITED STATES SAILORS!  Thank you Vet Moms for everything - thank you moms/wives that are on here!  Would not have gotten through this without all of you.  Can't wait to meet you at the meet and greet!  WERE HERE!
