Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Hi. My husband is with Div 205. He said he is home sick and is about to give up but that changed the other day because we were able to talk. I think he first received my letter yesterday. He called earlier but I was in an office meeting. He was asking me for some documents and he said he is okay and I don't need to worry about him.

Moonwillow: Had to laugh at your OCD comment because this is the conversation my son and I have alot! I remind him that OCD doesn't have to be a "negative" thing....it can be used for some really good stuff! My friend is very afflicted with it and turned it into a very successful "organizer" business!

Talked to my SR for about 20 min. He said overall DIV 814 said they lost a couple but overall the DIV is doing well. He said he having a lot of fun. So far has not had any compartment hits or street hits. Did good on his test. 4.3 out of 5. Really enjoys being AROC. Should be able to call on Sat. Also said everyone is getting mail so that is good.

My son also called. Didn't call me but called his girlfriend:( yes I am jealous, but very happy at the same time. Div 814 sounds like the are ahead of the game! Hooyah!! Well done!
