~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Lala Ribbon Queen, one of our other N4Moms veterans on here, is the one who makes the beautiful ribbons/etc that proudnavymom mentioned.  She posts here regularly.  Be sure to go to her page to see a display of her "goodies!"  You won't be disappointed!

Shilohthemighty:  The length and difficulty of A School all depends on what job they are schooling for.  Some are just 2-3 mos of schooling, some can be close to 2 yrs (not all A School, some of that time is C School, other training).  A School is very different from Bootcamp since they are back in touch with family/friiends (since they have their phones/computers back).  So it is more like a college campus, just stricter!  :-)

Those sailors staying in GL for A School will have liberty part of Friday, and then from approx 6am to 10pm on Sat and Sun. Those flying out to school will have liberty Friday until approx 8pm, but you can go to the airport and wait with them at the gate until their plane leaves.

Shilohthemighty..it depends on where they are going to A school at. My son is in the same DIV as your SR. His school is directly across the street form BC and his recruiter said he should have most of the weekend with us. He has to be at the barracks at 10pm and can leave at 7Am. If your SR is going elsewhere they may only have a couple of hours. You can call your SRs recruiter for more info.

Just bought my PIR ribbon and husbands shirt for graduation from uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com. Cant wait to get them:)

Shilohthemighty depends if they are shipping out for A school or staying at GL. I believe is they are shipping out they have to be back to base at 9PM Friday night and fly out Saturday morning. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me. This is just what I am assuming by my online research.

Good Morning all. llamotte, I'm praying you and others get the call. My son is in the same ship and div as your daughter. It is a intergrated div. he called on Saturday. Seems crazy he would call and not your daughter. He did say they have a good group of people and he was happy to have them all in his Div. he did tell me the first time the letters were going out was Sunday. He also said this div was on hold and now is a push division to get all stuff done and still graduate on 20th.
Have a good day.

IIamotte, My son is also on SHIP 11 DIV 203. I did receive a call on Sat. but no letters. I'm sure it will be soon. I know how you feel!! It was awful not hearing from him. I love the name of your company. Keep busy!! Have a great day!

Just sent out another letter to my daughter.  I hope I get one from her soon or a call.  Either would make my day/week!  Just keeping myself busy making my gift baskets (I own a Custom Gift Basket business here in Jacksonville, NC called Carolina Basket Case.  It keeps my mind occupied!  Hope everyone in Ship 11 Div 203 hears from their SR's soon too!  How many divisions are graduating on 6/20?  I think I've seen about 3 or 4 on here. Have a wonderful day!
