Hello everyone! My name is Rosie, my husband is in this division, and I'd love to keep up to date with others with loved ones in this division/same PIRdate!
How is everyone doing so far? I was feeling pretty low until I got an address to write to him at today. I feel much better. I going to send my husband some news clippings out of his favorite magazines, and the New York Times. Anyone else from NY/NJ? Also, any other Nukes?
Let's chat! :) Rosie

Hi, I got my first letter today. He sounds tired.

Hi, I also got my first letter today. My son sounds really tired also. I hope he is doing better now.

GOT A LETTER TODAY FROM MY SAILOR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He sounds good, he said everything is going good so far. He is a little home sick but he will live. I bought him 2 books of stamps and he lost them already. hahahha He is too much. Glad to see he has not changed yet.

Aww! That's great! I got a phone call from my husband two days ago but it was very short and it was because he needed documents for the DEERS program, I asked him if he was okay and he said he got made the Recruit Yeoman position, which is like a lot of clerical duties. But then he said, "I have to go. write me" and that was that!  I still haven't received a letter from my husband yet, I've been running to the mailbox every morning with high hopes, then coming back sad. But, I write to him almost every single day. I am feeling a bit down. I wish I could just have a letter back! Maybe tomorrow.

I've booked our rooms at the Red Carpet Inn because it was cheap and they have a free PIR shuttle in the morning. I still haven't booked my flights, but southwest has GREAT prices for their "web only" bookings.

Maybe I'll be happier tomorrow if I get a letter from him. How are you ladies holding up?

Rosie

I hope you get a letter tomorrow, I know my son said they can only write letters on Sundays. He had not received the letter I had sent him yet when he wrote me even though I had sent it the same day I received the letter with his address. It's hard getting use to the speed of mail when we are so use to being able to text or call.

I booked our flights and our room, Just counting down the days to Graduation!

Good Morning everyone! It is a sunny Mother's Day weekend here in Oregon. I have high hopes we all get calls from our SR for Mothers Day!

Happy Mothers day to you all!

OOOOO I have my fingers crossed that I get that phone call on Mother's Day.

Hi, My name is Denise and my son is in this division. I have received 3 letters from him all on the same day.(5-9)   He had sent his address list home with his stuff and my address is the only one he knew. I have since sent his address list back to him. All 3 of his letters are pleading for me to send it back. :(

I'm from San Antonio, TX. We have booked our airline tickets for the graduation through United. Leaving on Wed. to give us a day to get acquiainted with the area. Soooo excited. And excited that his grandparents are able to come too! He told me that his first paycheck should be deposited on May 15th.

Hi Denise. My son is also in this division and we also booked a day early. We live in Oregon and are flying in to Milwaukee around midnight. We will have the whole day Thursday to get acquainted with the area. Hope to meet you and the other moms there.

My husband is there as well.  He said the RDC's are all business but not that bad.  He said they're pretty funny, so that made me feel good for him.  When I got the "hey, I'm here gotta go" call he said he would be able to call again at 3 weeks, which is this week.  Has anyone gotten a call yet?  I would love to hear his voice, even for just a minute.

I just got home from work and had 2 letters. My son sounds much better than the first letter. He said it's hard but he can handle it. Very little sleep the first week. He said they get a phone call on Thursday. So hopefully we all get the call tomorrow.

Just so you know there is a facebook page for this division....
