Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 229 and 230

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Nice to meet you too:)
My son is Div230. I will be spending July 4th with him! Sooo excited! Made all arrangements the second I knew.

has anyone received a phone call yet from anyone in DIV 230??? anxiously awaiting:)

Are they only allowed one person to call? does anyone know?

(copied and pasted from duplicate division discussion)

Just got a call from my son in div 230.  He sounded really good.  Said some of the guys in the division won't stop talking so they have been given extra IT.  I told him that they need to work together and help each other.  But over all, they all sounded good (could hear some of the other SR's in the background).

Hi, my youngest called me Sunday too. I missed his call, so I'm hoping he calls again soon. Are they able to call every weekend? I didn't know if that part has changed too. I'm so worried about him because I feel like I pushed him into joining.

Just got a call from my son in Division 229!!!!  He sounded great!

I just a call from my son too DIV 230..he said he and a lot of other guys got the flu but are getting over it now:( still slated to graduate on July 2nd according to him. I am definitely feeling better that I talked to him..less anxious now..time to write lots of letters..have a happy memorial day everyone. .I know we are all proud of our loved ones!

Hi all! My son is in Ship13 Div230. Got a call today! He said the hardest thing was push ups and the easiest was eating. Poor baby sounded a little homesick and unsure. I kept praising him and reassuring him. I plan on sending him happy, positive and motivational letters everyday.

Has anyone received any letters yet?  When my SR called this past Sunday, he said that Division 229 had not yet received any of their mail and I'm not a hundred percent clear on whether or not they have been able to mail anything out yet.

This past weekend was the first my son could write.  Of course, they didn't go out in the mail until Tuesday because of the holiday.  We should see the letters Friday or Saturday...hopefully.

Your SR is in Division 230 right? Do you know if they had received mail yet?

RTC posted pics this morning on FB.
