Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 217 and 218

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

can not believe that half way point is this weekend!   My daughter had 2 wisdom teeth and one molar removed yesterday ....  they seem to take a lot of teeth .... so I am hopeful this will not throw her off track for the 7/11 PIR date.....  doesn't seem out of normal for the teeth ....

My son had one wisdom tooth cut out last week.  He said several guys had wisdom teeth out last week.

My daughter, Ship 14, Div 218, said in her last letter that they failed a test and they have 1 more chance to pass. If they fail again, it could push their PIR date back 2 weeks. Has anyone else heard this also? I'm a bit stressed about it.

I have talked to my son since he wrote his last letter, and he didn't mention anything like that.

Hopefully I am stressing over nothing. I am holding off buying plane tix so I hope I hear from my daughter again soon!

My son is Ship 14 Div 218.  He has called home twice and has written letters the past two weeks.  After high school he attended college one year and worked one year while in DEPS.  He always said he was going to enlist but waited until he felt sure of his decision.  He is loving bootcamp, but missing home.  He has mentioned a few guys in his division - one ran track in high school and helped him with his breathing while completing his run.  Another with initials MC has become a close friend.  I would love to meet these moms.

my son also had 3 wisdom teeth pulled. he was on bed rest for 2 days but said it didn't put him behind.  I've received 3 calls and only one letter, he's not much of a writer, unless it's to his girlfriend, lol.  He is having a great time, loving every minute of it.  He misses home and being able to text/talk to everyone.  Cant wait till 7/11!!

I have only received two phone calls.  The third call went to his girlfriend.  She was so excited.

Hello everyone I'm new and my son is in div 218

Hello and welcome.  I was hoping to get a letter today.   Maybe tomorrow.

I'm so excited to see all the talk about my sons fellow mates he also is doing fine but homesick would love to meet some friends and family on July 11
Pictures have been posted on Facebook and I think Div 218 may be in one of the pix where they are in classroom setting. Do you guys agree?
