~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

I need some advice. I have some people that are pressuring me to give my SR news about her aunt being in a car accident. I said I do NOT want her to know until I can talk to her in person about it but I fear that someone else will write her a letter and then she will be carrying that burden with her as well as I know she will be angry with me if she hears it from someone else.
...they are just so random. So hard to gauge phone calls. I always tell the ladies that when a SR says they will be calling home the next weekend, be sure to have phone handy, but don't be surprised if it doesn't happen. Recently some SRs had to get off the phones before the division finished (in another PIR group) because a division that had just completed BattleStations arrived to make their "I'm a Sailor" calls. So don't expect calls....just anticipate and enjoy the excitement when they come!
Sandi: It could have been a "scheduling" issue on the phone calls with so many trying to use the phones. Or it is possible that they "lost" their earned calls for some reason. Hoping that you get at least one of those earned calls this week!
BattleStations for this group will not start until probably the middle of next week. With the July 4th holiday in there, my guess is that they may go only one night that week...probably Wed night. However, it is also possible that they will do all of their BattleStations during PIR week since there are only 9 divisions in this group. They can actually go up to 4 divisions a night if need be. Please remember that if you receive a BattleStations date from your SR, you can post on here that you "have a date for Div ___ " but you cannot post the actual date. People can then private message you for the date.
So, this group has gone "quiet" again. Are some of you still here???
Just a reminder that there is lots of info now on the PAGES section under the MEMBERS PHOTO BOX up top. Be sure to read it. There is also info above in the discussion forum.
For those of you who find you are staying on FB most of the time now, please bring your questions and be checking in here as well. I realize that there are great N4Moms veterans on those groups to help out, but it would be nice if we can share info back and forth between the groups.
Be sure to remember that OPSEC which RTC has asked us to practice re: posting BattleStations dates is to be practiced on both FB and here. I would also like to ask if anyone has received BattleStations dates from their SRs, please post here that you have a date so others can private message you for it. I like to try and keep a schedule of the dates.
Good Morning!
