Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 937

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hello everyone. Just wondering did anyone receive their kid in a box yet.
I have received the box, 2 letters and a phone call. Ship 2 division 937. He left for boot camp 5/29
Thanks Bobnkelley mine SR left that same day.
We are in calif, where are you located? We received the box 4 days after he left. We received the first letter "official Navy Letter" on Thur last week and a personal letter today. I'm concerned that he still hasn't received our letters. He is so homesick and he thinks we have forgotten him.
@ Bobnkelley I am located in sw Florida. I just received 2 of his letters. Yay. He hasn't received mine yet. I'm sure it is taking time to train someone for the mail call. Hoping our SR get their letters soon. I'm sure your son knows just how much you love him & that it is impossible to forget them. Moms worry about their kids even when they become men. It's in our job description. Still no box. Am hoping they forgot and will send it out soon. Thanks

Usually right after they write you their first letters, they then receive their first mail.  So many times, when they ask why you haven't written yet (they don't know that the mail is held at first until the training of the Recruit Mail Petty Office is completed)...they will get your letters after they have put the one to you in the mail.

Have you gotten your box yet?  I hope so!  We received two personal letters too (on the same day) but he did not get ours yet as of then.  We are in Ohio.

No still no box

hi beej75,

I got to speak to my SR today twice the first time was for info he needed for secruity clearance & I told him about this website. How it has been really informative and I told him about you & ur SR, so  when he called me back he found your son he said he is such a nice quiet SR & he told him that their moms have spoken thru this website they got a laugh out of it. just thought you would like to know your son is doing good.

That sounds like my son. :) Very cool heyusonia! I also told my son about this site & said that if there's any SR's that don't get letters to let me know so I can post on here & someone can write to him.  I haven't received a letter since Thursday.  I assume it will be once a week for a couple more weeks.  Its hard not being able to have verbal contact more often.

Beej75, I think we will be lucky if we get a letter once a week. I spoke to my son last week for 4 minutes he needed more info he mention that there div is always in trouble for talking too much. I believe he said they withheld there mail for a day since they did not go through the proper channels in retrieving it. Hope we get something soon
