For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 271 and 272
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

My son is Ship 03 Div 271. Can't wait until July to see my son. So proud of him but so hard to have such limited communication. Got phone call Saturday and letters today.

Lucky you. My son says before he left, not to expect letters because he is not much of a writer. He is not a big talker either, lol. It is killing me not to pick up my cell phone and text him. Can't wait for his next call. He is in Div 272.

My husband is Div 272. I have received his box and the form letter but not real letters yet. I got my phone call was so great to hear his voice. Now I really want a letter!

Got a letter today! I was so excited. He told me to post his address on Facebook so he can get lots of letters, lol.

My son is on ship 03 Div 272 his PIR date is 7/26 can't wait to see him and meet his fellow sailor friends. He said he has made some friends and I know that's what is helping him get through this new adventure.

Karneths my husband is in 272 wonder if he is friends with your son. I hope so. I have been praying that he makes some friends.

My fiance is in division 272. He seems to be doing well. When I spoke to him last weekend, he said the whole division was doing well. I am so glad he is making lots of friends. Cannot wait to his him at PIR! I'll be smiling from ear to ear.

Granny my son is in the same division. He sent a letter last week and said that they didn't know when he could call again. No letter this week. One month from today!!!!

My son is ship 3 div 272. I haven't heard from him since the 18th. I'm getting a little anxious. I hope he sent a letter this week. I really hope they get to call soon. Yes, to one month from today!

Keep the faith. I was on the edge of despair when my grandson's girlfriend got a letter today. He told her that he slept through letter writing time last week! We are on the downhill now!

Yes, I got a letter today. I am so relieved, he sounded so good and upbeat. Said he didn't write last week because the holiday schedule was cut short. He says next week is "hell week" (which I think starts today or tomorrow) and said once they get through that it is "smooth sailing". It is getting so close, to get to hug him.
