His family got one, but doesn't remember the day they got it, I think it was Wednesday as well...Hopefully Tomorrow!!!!

I am so happy - I received both a call and a letter today. My son is doing good and passing his tests. He says that everything is running much smoother for his Division. He is a grad-and-go. He will be flying out of O'Hare to FL. His bus will leave the Base about 2a.m. Hopefully I will have lots of time with him at the airport.

I did as well Christine:) It was a fabulous day!!
I received a phone call as well yesterday!!!!!  He also told me pretty much the same thing... could be taken to the airport at 2am on Saturday morning.  His flight might not leave till 7pm that night.  No way of knowing for sure at this point.  They are getting all their fire safety qualifications in this week. Getting Gassed on Wednesday.  Then they do Battlestations next Wednesday on July 27th starting in the evening ending 24 hours later on Thursday evening.  Then need to be bright and shiny for Friday's PIR early in the morning.  Whew!!!!! Thats alot!  I guess all we'll do to get there does'nt really compare. He really seems to be a natural with the military lifestyle and has even bigger goals for the future now.  He wants to get commissioned as an officer and someday become a pilot...Thats a huge leap from what he had already decided to do.  Almost no one does it he said... but it can be done and why not him? somebody somewhere has before him and somebody will after him....I told him he can do whatever he believes he can do.  Just get a plan of action together with his goals and timeframes to accomplish those.  Im so proud of him for even thinking like this.  He never used to before. Now he believes in himself and thats all he ever needed to do....:)

Good to hear Ronette, will you go post in the BattleStations discussion and confirm the date please?

Also- if you're on facebook, get on the navy page, at 10 am central time, lets get a picture of our SR's:D

I did go the Battlestations discussion and it is already listed as their date.... he also told me that yesterday. :)
Wahoo:) Im stalking the page right now....hahahaha.
I'm happy their going to be at O'hare. My son also is adapting well to the Navy life and passing all his test. He said Battlestions everyone should pass. He's looking forward to getting his Navy career as an Aviation Tech. I hope we get until 7pm to spend time. I'm changing my Saturday night reservation in great lakes to a hotel near O'hare.
Good to hear Christine:) I tried to win a photo of 241, but I didn't.:/
Im sorry Nicole wasn't able to be on Facebook at 10:00am... So were in the final push for our guys and gals to pass all their tests... Make Battlestations a 24 hour ride they will never forget!!!!!:) And make us all proud to be a part of it at graduation on 07/29/2011.  You know that date is special for me... I was actually pregnant with my son when I married his Dad so many years ago...It was a happier time then. His Dad and I are no longer together, unfortunately he won't be able to make it to the graduation.  Honestly if I had a way to do it I would get him there.... its not possible though.  However on a happier note my uncle who has been like a father to my son, his girlfriend and me his Mama will be there!!!!!!! No matter what!!!!! Its time to start getting excited girls!!!!! I know we all can't wait to see them, hug them and kiss them!!!!!!  And we'll know that all those who can't make it are just as excited and proud of them from wherever they are!!!!!!

start getting excited? ronette, i've been excited since BEFORE he left for him to be graduating! LOL.

It's okay, those gals and guys on there are FAST.

That's really special, that it's significant on many levels now. I finished getting all the final touches for my outfit tonight, EEEEP! Wahoo!(:

Now just nerves until I foundout if my BF passes his final PFA run!:)

let's pray the Chicago heat wave dies down. My family in Chicago says it's 100+ with the heat index. They said you would want to bring lot of shirts without sleeves. I hope it's cooler in Great Lakes. I am so excited - getting ready for this trip is like having another job. Hearing how positive my son is really calms me down.
