Hi everyone, just looking to see if anyone has hear from their SR?  I received my form letter June 13 a week after my daughter left, but not calls or letter from her  yet. I realized they don't have much time to call, but I was hoping to at least get a quick call.

Hi Shannon,

No, no phone call yet but in my daughters letter dated June 23, she said she hoped to be able to call on July 3rd

Thanks Jean.  So anxious to actually hear my son's voice.  Can't even imagine how much harder it would be if it were my daughter.

It really is tough Shannon, having my daughter away and not having the freedom to talk to her at any given time, we're extremely close. It's wonderful to hear their voices, even if it's through both of us  crying !

I hear you, I cried when my son called, but I had to stifle it cuz a man crying on the phone to his mom would bring on a host of problems he doesn't need.  He's really very sensitive so I have to hold it together.  With my daughter it's different.  Why do we make it ok for girls to have/express emotions and not men?

Got my phone call this evening. So good to hear her voice

Just got my first call from my SR!!!!!  Hoorah!  He's doing "great" and the division is doing "Great"  Short call but such a difference from his first letter. He's so proud of himself.  And I couldn't be a prouder mom!!!!

Glad to know you got your call. I saw your earlier post asking about calls and posted right after my daughter call so that other Moms knew the calls were coming today. It was such a relief to hear my daughter's voice. Such a weight off my mind.
My SR called his fiancee I guess that is ok but I really want to hear from him. She said he is good has a sinus issue and a cough, guess someone got sick so now they all have it.
Everything is going good. They are all working hard.
H
He told her that he is a grad and go, we will only get about 8 hours with him on 7/29. Then he will be headed for Pensacola, Florida.
I am hoping for another letter or a call this week. Love and miss my SR 9/239
Not sure if all the SRs are aware that they can call more than one person. They are given a block of time (I got the feeling it was 10 minutes from my daughter) but they can call as many people as the time allows. Might I suggest that you mention this to his fiancee so that she can tell him. Hopefully this will result in everyone getting to connect. My daughter called me then her boyfriend and brightened our week.
My husband (ex marine) says it is likely a mild reaction to one of the shots and is not uncommon.

Hi Angie-I'm sorry to hear your son didn't get a chance to call you.  My son sends his big letters to his girlfriend; she shares parts of the letters with me.  I guess they don't get a whole lot of time to write so I know how you feel when you have to share them with someone.  I am happy that I got to talk to him; he was unable to reach his girlfriend; he did hang up sooner than I would have liked to try to call her again.

I'm lucky my son is staying at Great Lakes so I am hoping to get a lot of time with him that weekend.  My SR is in 3/235.

Hello All,
Well i am happy to say that I got another letter from my SR 09/239 today, it was not phone call but I was still excited to hear from him.

He said he is good and that they a getting into phase 2 of their training, I guess that means thing are going to get a lot harder for them.
He is having withdraw symptoms for his cell phone.....lol
Maybe he will call yet this week.
Love and miss him.
