Wow 238 momsand families we seem to belagging in the discussion dept!!!! How many people are in a division? Have any of you been to Chicago? I haven't. My Navy son is the youngest of five kids, when I read about others panic over their sons or daughters I feel sad. As parents we were supposed to raise them to be independent able adults. By joining the Navy they have all been just that! Missing, worrying, hoping for a letter is good, but some moms on other disscussion boards sound a little needy. I am sooooo proud of all the young men and women that will be graduating on the 29th!!!! I'm sure I will be crying with pride for each and every one!!!!

Is there a way to get the word out that this group is here? Let's get some discussion going!!!!

Randysue, I don't think our division has too many Navy4mom members in it. I haven't found this discussion group to be very active. I have been doing most of my posting on the group page rather than our division. I have 2 boys. Josh, my son in BC is my oldest.  He moved out west to Vegas a few years ago, so I am use to him being away. I think most of the mothers that are posting are more excited for their SR's than panicked. Not having the freedom to call or receive a call does add some stress just from the uncertainty of what is going on during such an important part of their lives. For some, this is the first time their kid's have been away for any length of time.  But I get what you are saying. I am also so proud of our SR's and I know I will be crying at PIR!!
HI JOsh's mom! Thanks for replying! We are staying at the Ramada, my daughter in law checked and it was only about 5 dollars more than the lodge, it's where the greet and meet is and is right accross the street from enterprize rent a car. What does your Vegas son do? My middle son was a coastie and then went to Vegas. He worked at Harrah's then became a parol officer. I'm so excited for my son. have you heard if they got any more flags? I got a letter today and they still had three. I hope to meet you in Chcago! Take care!!!! Sue

Hi Josh's Mom,

One cool thing about Nevada is that Vets are treated great at the colleges. There is no out of state tuition, my son was in Vegas and that's why he went. It's going to be a crazy week and a half. I've never been to Chicago so it should be interesting. Take care!

Sue
