Thanks for your help ladies I seriously appreciate it. I hope I got the right one I posted a picture of it on the Fb group. It didn't say cell phone on it anywhere it was purple it said great for home school and travel. I didn't think something so simple like a calling card would be so confusing haha guess since I know nothing about them :/

Stephanie, That looks like a card to prepay a cell phone I believe (if it is the one I am looking at). You need a phone calling card that does not say "use with your cell phone or mobile plan", or check your phone service for airtime fees.

You need a phone card such as this one.

Phone Card

or this one

Phone Card

There are several out there, just make sure it isn't part of a ""calling plan"

Stephanie:  Keep calling Navy Lodge back and see if they have a cancellation so you can stay Thurs night too.  Many times, they will.  But you need to call them, don't rely on trying to get that night online.

Stephanie, As for the Navy Lodge, how long are you staying in GL, one, two or three nights?

You need a calling card that can be used on a pay phone (not for a cell phone). There are lots out there, different kinds, abd you should be able to find them at your grocery store, or a store like Walgreens. Ask someone to help you if you are still insure.

Do get one with at least 300 minutes, it doesn't take long for the phone to eat them up, many have an initial charge on minutes for every call made. If it need to be activated, by all means do so before sending it, it is easier on your recruit.
