diannep, Yep, I just wasn't being blunt about it.

Unfortunately in the past, like diannep said, we have heard that a few families have not been so upright in their behavior while visiting. The Navy throws out the bad seeds in BC, but it can do nothing about some of their families.

We do believe that all those who find this site are serious about their Sailors Navy career, and would never do anything to jeopardize it. When you are with them, what you do will reflect directly on them, and that will hold true throughout their service in the Navy.

You are too funny, ellen....I know you just burst plans for many of these ladies.....especially re: the Chicago Bears partying in their rooms.....HA! 

On a more SERIOUS note, ellen is actually hinting at the truth!  There had been an issue in the past with the newly-graduated sailors not being allowed to visit family at Navy Lodge....because some people were throwing parties, etc!  So we heard!  So "military bearing" at all times, ladies and gentlemen!  :-)

Stephanie, You must have a military ID to stay in "government lodging," and the Navy Lodge is just that.  If you don't carry a military ID you must be "sponsored" by someone who does in order to stay there, so your new Sailor is your sponsor. The sponsor will be "responsible" for you, and anything you do while visiting there.

No punching holes in the walls, no loud music, no loud parties, no stealing linens, the furniture, television, or bathroom fixtures. Don't invite the Chicago Bears over for a few beers, the White Sox or the Cubs over to hit a few balls through the windows, and your Sailor shouldn't have any problems with you staying there.

44 days ladies!!!! I'm making shirts for my daughter and I for the day before while flying into Chicago! Hers will say my daddy is graduating from navy boot camp in the front and the back will say proud navy daughter. What do you ladies think??

Thank you for all that information! Looks like navy lodge is going to be where I'm staying for the moment. I don't have a military ID so I'll have to book it in his name. Just a question how does booking in his name make a difference? Like between booking it in my name or his? Sorry just don't know a lot about this yet so I figured I'd ask. I'm making the reservation today, so i will call and put it in his name since that's what most of you recommend I'm just wondering the reasoning behind it. Thank you all so much if it wasn't for this page I wouldn't know where to go with all my questions!

And it all depends on the Saturday flight departure time for the sailor which you won't know until PIR or after, or even early Saturday morning. Not sure.
