That is so great, LeeAnn!

Thank you diannep! No one should have to suffer what he did as a child! He continues to amaze me at how much he has overcome! He chose the military, in part, to help him learn how to deal with conflict. I must admit I was concerned about this. But he took to boot camp like a duck to water! In hindsight, I can see how much he needed this. I am so very grateful. God is indeed so very good to us.

LeeAnn:  Having him as a foster child I know makes it extra special for you to see the positive he is experiencing!  I'm sure your mentoring has had tons to do with this....so kudos to you and your family for loving and guiding this new sailor!  Yes, the Lord is GOOD!  :-)

Thanks so much, Stephanie and LeeAnn.  Usually families are posting because they are so excited (of course!) that they have a sailor....so I was wondering!  Congrats to your new sailors!

Good Morning All !

I got our I'm a sailor call! I'm so proud of our foster son! He has overcome so much that to see him start his journey to adulthood begin on such a positive note is beyond my ability to describe with paltry words! I'm so thankful to my Lord for giving us such a wonderful young man!

No one posted today from 251/252 that they got the I'm a Sailor call.  Did anyone get it?  It is rare, but occasionally there are changes in schedule last minute.  Just trying to see if 251/252 went through as scheduled.  Thanks!

All remaining divisions will go through BattleStations either Mon or Tues nights.  Calls after 2pm Central the next day.

Congrats to the new sailors of 251/252!

Everyone please read my BattleStations discussion above for more info!

Gotta say, I'm a little jealous that some of you mom's have SR's with great communication skills! :) My kid is 254, bless is heart, he is so independent that he sometimes doesn't realize he isn't communicating. I think I'll keep my fingers crossed for Tuesday! Thanks to everyone who contributes/encourages on this site. SO HELPFUL!!
