DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

I know my son would like to "think" he is musically inclined, but I promise you he is NOT. And everyone would thank him for not trying..;0) I always tease him about his lack of musical skills, singing mostly.. that is why he was in wrestling. that fit him better.
Has anyone received a letter or call (other then the "I made it" call yet? It's been 9 days now and I never leave my cell phone unattended. I miss him so much, reading all the whats happening stuff helps but makes me so sad that I can't hug him or help him in anyway. It's an emotional roller coaster that's for sure.
Ship 13 Div 238 here. I'm hoping if I can make the trip to PIR that I am able to meet some of you. I'll be most likely making the trip on my own. Looking at flying into Midway on Thursday and staying at the Navy Lodge.
Good morning!
Hello! A little late in joining the party here.
My son graduated BC in April of 2012. He is an ET3, stayed in GL for A School, went to C School in San Diego, and is currently stationed in Japan. The ship he is attached to is a Whidbey Island-class landing ship, part of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group (ARG).
A few other veteran moms will be joining to help answer questions, offer support, and give you lots of information.
There will also be lots of pages posted with information for you along the way. They will be posted as the subjects come up!
Remember there are no dumb questions, so ask away!
Fasten your seatbelts...the next few weeks will be a roller coaster ride, but at the end of the ride you are in for the best hug ever!!
For those staying at the Navy Lodge.
The breakfast is a continental style, with cereal, make your own waffles, fruit, OJ, Apple juice, yogurt, oatmeal, coffee & tea, boiled eggs...
Hours: Friday (graduation) 05:30 to 09:00, Saturday & Sunday 06:30 to 09:30, Monday thru Thursday 06:00 to 09:00
Here are some pics:
Ladies: Lots of info here in the PAGES, upper top of page. Click on link to get there quickly:
CGood morning everyone, Welcome Deb :)
Hi there, Deb. Did you make the Navy Lodge reservations in your SR's name? You need to do that if you don't have military ID yourself, but if you didn't, you can either call and change them or change them when you check in.
Good Morning Everyone!
If anyone's SR is in the same ship and division....please hit me up as a friend.....thanks everyone for this wonderful site. I'm going to do a few more things before turning in for the night. Everyone have a great night!
