OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

vtownmom,

If you are still here, there is already a Pensacola A school group called "Sailors in Pensacola...Corry Station too".  It is very active.  Here's the link:

Does anyone have any clear pictures of DIV 280/PIR?  My camera didn't take very good pictures.  Thanks!

Thanks, ladies.  I am going to message Sarge and see if there is anything he can do about the "darkness" in there....I'm not sure he can fix the echo problem though.  But will mention it just in case he can.  Thanks for all of the input!

Sarge's meet & greet was nice. We got there late, because I messed up the time, so we had a hard time finding seats. The food was very good & so was the info. The only complaint we had, was it was hard to understand at times. It echoed too much.

Ellen and Dianne - I too was late for the meet and greet.  I agree that it was dark and I had trouble finding a seat.  I did find the information very useful.  We got in and out of PIR without waiting in any lines and not one wrong turn.  Also, the food was good.  I did meet a couple of people from the FB group which was nice but would like to have met more.  He did mentioned that if you missed paying any tolls, that you can take care of them online before the fee goes up.  He said it is best to take care of them within a week.  I don't know the site but I'm sure Sarge could tell you.

Ellen:  Thanks for posting about Sarge's.  We have heard from others that it is dark in there.  Not sure if that is something that can be fixed....we have heard that his food is good (from local restaurants) and he has good info.  But I know his is the largest MeetandGreet so maybe meeting lots is harder with such a large group.

AND, if you didn't pay all you were supposed to on the tolls, you may be getting something in the mail!  :-)  Courtesy of your tag!  Hoping you did pay.  Yes, the amounts of the tolls can be challenging to say the least!

Thanks so much for all of your helpful info here about PIR!

Has anyone posted pics here?  Where is the best place?  As part of a comment?  Make an album?  Just the main page?
