While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

PM me your email address. I will be able to tell you when I sign off the final design, but I won't be able to tell you when PIRGifts will put them on Ebay. I can only give you a guess on when they do. I actually have a growing list of emails from sailors and family members wanting to know when various ships get done.
Please understand I work all day, and I run my website (NavyDEP.com) as a hobby. So I design these coins when I have time. The coin has to have the story in a small 1 3/4 inch area, which is unbelievable hard.
What's also is bad, is PIRGifts also wants me to write the story about each one. You won't believe how long that takes. But, the sailors need to know their roots....

It really did Craig...the attention to detail for the city of Chicago is great! I rememebr when I looked up CVN numbers for a mom and then became intrigued as to which Ship the Ships at RTC are actually named after...I ended up finding out that there were more than "one Triton" etc...and so did not know which Ship it was and just included links to any I could find! Thanks to you and these great coins...we will.
I think "knowing their roots" is something to instill...I know they get some of that in Boot...the Navy is old and has fine traditions...these coins add to it and give them something tangible to hold on too.
