Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 247 and 248
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

she said she really liked her bunk mate and she's going to the same A school as my daughter!
I was going to but I'm staying at Springhill Suites because things are within walking distance and I'm not renting a car.
I read that about the doors! I want to order ribbons and I told my son I want to get a Navy Mom T-shirt! LOL
I got a phone call from my daughter on Saturday. She mentioned that they were not on Ship 14 anymore but rather on on different ship. Is it alright if I post what the new ship is?
Hi! I did get to talk to my daughter last Sat. She is doing great. She went in mentally prepared (and physically) and is passing her tests all along. I am so proud of her. I went on EBay and purchased the Challenge Coin for her. It is all about the USS Triton (Ship 12). I mailed it out to her yesterday. Can't wait to hear from her again.
How is your daughter doing in there? Is she staying positive? My daughter said the new barracks (ship) is not as good as Ship 14. Kind of a dump as she put it. But they only have 34 more days.
Toni
No..she went through all that when she had braces. My daughter is a little older than most of the girls and has already been on her on for about 15 months. She made the decision to enlist before she moved and it took that long for her to actually ship out.
Woot Woot! I received a letter from her in today's mail!! Wow. I certainly don't have to worry as much because her letter has answered a lot of my concerns. She has passed her swimming/float tests and her PT's. Weapon training next week. She said she is loving every minute of it. (And I would be able to tell if she were just blowing smoke.)
