N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Good Morning!! I think I need to make a correction to my earlier post, I was so excited to talk with daughter when she called I think I misunderstood her or I just don't remember. She was made section leader or division leader, I don't remember either my hearing is going or I was soooo excited just to hear her voice.

mamatolma:  Southwest has no change fee if your SR gets delayed and 2 bags check for free.  Check prices into both Milwaukee WI and Chicago Midway.  Milwaukee is a shorter drive because of no traffic.  Book Navy Lodge in your SR's name if you do not have your own military ID.  Call directly if online shows no rooms available as sometimes they have cancellations and it is easier to get a room calling direct.

Yea jappyj I also received a call from my 940 SR.  She also sounded good!  She passed her swim test and all her PTs so they made her the Athletic Petty Officer (APO).  She is also the Section Leader of the Toilets!  HAHAHAHA we warned her everybody would get their turns scrubbing toilets! She's a little nervous about DMI coming up which is some type of inspection where they get tested on making beds or lockers.  She liked that I sent her a manilla envelope so she could send her letters back home since they don't have much room.  She said DIV 941 is training with them now.

My son is in Ship 03- USS Hopper, Div 251.  We have gotten 2 phone calls already!  So happy to hear from him.  We are working on travel plans from AZ to GL.  Any suggestions on transportation?  We will probably stay at the Navy lodge.  Looking for input for our stay.
