N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Just tslked to my son...Ship 13 Div 249...he sounded happy but REALLY tired. He said they are working very hard. He said last night they crowded around a window to try and. See the fireworks! He passed his run and his sit ups but was 7 push ups short - not sure what that means but he didn't seem worried. I am hoping he does not get sick! He has met some Nukes in his Division that will be going on to Charleston so that is nice. So other moms... Calls are coming!

I got my 2nd phone call just now!!! I am was in heaven just hearing his voice... He is now his division's ARCPO (pronounced A-ROCK) which is 2nd in command to the Div's RCPO!!! He says his duty as ARCPO is to do cadence which was also his position while still in the DEP program :-)My boy sounds great & is very tired but doing well!! When asked about their RDC's, he says he feels like they have the best team of RDC's for SHIP 13 DIV 250!!! They are making boot camp a great experience for all of them! Everyone please continue to write those letters!!! Many of them are not receiving any mail at all - some of them are but one SR he says get's about 5 letters per day! WoW That's impressive!! I thought my 1 letter per day was a lot! LoL!! What a happy day!!!
