Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Hi Lala Ribbon Queen! May I please have the link as well? Thank you! :-)
Gina: It is not likely that a division will get to call every week....and the amount of calls vary by division....so just have your phone with you at all times, charged and ready to go! Don't put it down for a second!
Hey Gina, I know the whole military life is one big emotional rollercoaster. I remember the night I said goodbye to my then Marine husband to go off to Desert Storm. We didn't know that the Iraqi soldiers would give up that easy, and I never knew when I would hear from him again. At that time it was definitely "on" with Iraq. I didn't hear anything for I think a couple of months. I think all of our sons are going through the breaking down part, and soon will go through the building back up part to become the finest sailors in the world. I think the tone will probably change by the next call. So as Captain Dick Winters used to say to his 101st Airborne during WWII "Hang tough". I think all of our recruits (and mothers) are awesome and will do just fine :) We're here for ya. I think instead of Band of Brothers, it should be Band of Mothers.
I sent it to you as well Rhondaroni :)
mygirlsrock and blonde305, I am an admin on the facebook group so please let me know if you got the page to work. Once you are accepted to join the group you should see all posts on the page. Maybe there is a facebook glitch. There have been other problems on facebook this week.
CC, I sent you the link to the website for the PIR ribbons. If you accept the friend request the message will disappear. If you can get it that way just send me a message and I will send it again, thanks :)
On my way out to dinner with some girlfriends! Will catch up again later... (I'm already late because I'm so addicted to this site!! LoL!!) Peace-out!!
Hi Babs!!! I'm sooo happy too!!! I did tell my Jenson that some of us mom's in his DIV are friends through this site & he laughed & said "really?!" LoL!!! It is pretty neat :-)
