Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Hoping for some phone calls today for this PIR group. Probably will be the last before the I'm a Sailor calls, which will start later next week for the lower-numbered divisions in this group. So....keep those phones close! You never know!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Good morning everyone, now that your recruits are past the halfway point here is a great questionnaire that I made when my daughter was in boot camp. It has a great paragraph of encouragement to help them with battle stations and it is pretty funny and should make them laugh. You can copy and paste it and tweak it to make it right for you. It is in the discussions above. I hope you like it :)
patwigton - Yes, he will! As well as the two before his own (usually).
Here is a PAGE with detailed 900 Division info:
Happy Friday!!
"I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth."
Psalm 34:1
My son is in division 941 and he performed at today's PIR carrying the Oregon State Flag. Will he also be carrying the flag at his own PIR on 8/23?
Hey! Does anyone know when the recruits find out if they got sharpshooter? My son said that hell week wasnt so bad!
Doggroomer--- I am so sorry to hear about your SR. That would be absolutely horrible! He went this far and now has to stop!! I will pray for quick recovery for him. He has been on my mind ever since i read your post.
Good Morning!
MCA =
MCA: Mid-Cycle Assessment; phase 2 of boot camp; this phase includes Weapons turnover.
Got a letter today!!!! Man I miss my boy, he said that "Hell Week" wasn't to bad he did well on his inspections. He said the division had all of their flags up to this point (Sunday). He said that they did well MCA Phase (have no idea what that is) and heard that if they did well on that they might get a phone call. He said he was keeping his fingers crossed. He was proud of doing well on all of his inspections.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your son! May God hold him in His hands and heal him!
