Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".
Comment
NavyBugMom: No, not all divisions will ever be on the same day. It is especially hard to track the "push" divisions since they have less days to do things. They may not even do their BattleStations on the same training day week/day number that others do. ellen will tell you there is little rhyme or reason for their schedule....you just have to go with the flow! :-)
Good Morning Friends!
"Know also that wisdom is sweet to your soul;
if you find it, there is a future hope for you,
and your hope will not be cut off."
Proverbs 24:14
Good morning everyone. What day is it? WHAT DAY IS IT? It's HUMP Daaaaay :) lol I hope you all have a good day and I hope you all get letters today or tomorrow.
If your Sailor will fly out for A-school here is some info that you should send to your recruit at least a week before PIR. Just write this all down on an index card. Tell them when they get their itinerary the week of PIR they can use it to fill in the blanks and then hand it to you after PIR. It is important to know all this so you don't end up at the wrong gate or even worse the wrong airport. Sadly, that has happened.
Have a wonderful Hump Day :)
Please fill this out when you get your flight itinerary/orders and then give it to us at PIR. Do not mail it.

Good Morning!
Good morning!
Wednesday means letters will start coming in. I hope everyone hears from their SR over the next couple of days! Nothing better in my opinion. Have a great day!! :)
Yes, their pay can come later, Christina. Most likely July 31st (if Navy Fed) or Aug 1st.
My husband got there the 25th and we don;t have Navy Fed yet
ALLIEHSHIP,
Thank you! We have NAVY FED and it hasn't come early and we've had our joint account for almost 6 months...Did your husband leave to RTC 6/20? or aroudn that time??
DIANNEP,
He's in his 4th week, which is why I'm concerned. Could it be later also??
They are paid on the 1st and 15th, unless with Navy Fed....then they are paid on the 14th and end of month. They usually aren't paid until they have been at RTC for at least 3 weeks.
My husband said his should be in our account Aug 1st Christina
