N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Good Morning All!

ria:  So glad he is doing so well on his PTs.  They take 3 PFAs, the last one being right before BattleStations (their final test).  The first two PFAs (physical fitness assessments) are really practice.  It is very important that they pass the 3rd and final PFA...no matter what they did on the first two.  Sounds like your SR is on track to do that!

Got my 1st phone call on Saturday, he's passed all his PTs -- confirmed graduation 23-AUG!!!  He said he gets 'free time' Sun. 0600-1300 for church and letter writing (no sleeping however).  He sounds great, albeit tired, but misses family & friends.  So looking forward to receiving his letter.

FINALLY RECEIVED MY FORM LETTER! On Sat. It was post marked 7/11 and I received it 7/13 in AZ :) It only took 2 days to get her after it was finally mailed. NOT BAD! Maybe I'll get a letter soon from her. I hope our SR' s are receiving mail now ..

Alisa, I know you wouldn't want any unwanted attention on him. I know the person who signs for it wouldn't be him but I guess they could hassle him about it. I send packages priority mail everyday so that tracking works great. I would for sure put a note in with it and tell him to write a letter and let you know he got it. And keep a check on the account for any charges. It should be fine to send.

Good morning everyone :)

Good Morning All !

Alisa, If you send it priority mail it will automatically be tracked. Get a receipt and hang on to it that is where the tracking number is.
