~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

I checked all the hotels in the area and the only one with great reviews was the Courtyeard by Marriott in Waukengan/Gurnee.

They are filling up fast as there are blocks of rooms held for 4 weddings. However, if you can't get a room now, the block expires on Wednesday. I hope this helps.

we reserved a room at Ramada Inn and now I went on the internet and looked at their reviews. Not good.....anyone have any personal info on that hotel?

I am not overly worried, I think it is close enough from what I have heard, It will get there. Leaving for a RELAXING weekend at the lake with my hubby, but will keep the phone close, even on the lake. Ya'll have a GREAT ONE too, and don't worry. I know it's easier said than done. This is my baby! I have been a mom for 30 years now. This has been the hardest to watch leave, but he MUST! And it is a GOOD thing!

ok...thanks...something must have went wrong, how could so many kids have wrote the incorrect address??  I wonder if something could have  happened that caused the address mishaps?

Hmmm, Diannep my son wrote 3515 Sailor Dr and that is where I have been mailing EVERYTHiNG. and used that as the last 4 digits of the zipl

If Div 319/320 have moved to a different ship, like 2, 3 or 4 which all use the Ohio address, the mail will be forwarded to them from the Ship 9 address anyway.

Comment by diannep on July 12, 2013 at 12:59pm

Sorry for the rudeness, Andrea, but I do think your son made a mistake in the address.  They must have been told the wrong ship address.  So use the RTC address which is the "Sailor" address.  With the correct division number, your SR will receive the mail.

Joetta:  He will get the mail, but see Andrea's post below.  You need to use the RTC address for Ship 9:

3415 Sailor Dr

Great Lake IL  60888-3515

My son is ship 9 div 320 and I see here many others of you noticed address discrepancies...I also have that issue, by boy wrote that the address was Ohio Street...does anyone know a solution, I've been mailing to the address my son wrote...will he get his mail? I haven't spoken to him or received a letter yet either, has anyone else heard from their recruit???

Comment by AllieShip3div315 on July 12, 2013 at 11:50am
