N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Good Friday morning everyone. If you want to take a look at a PIR ceremony you can take a look at today's graduation ceremony that will be live-streamed on the internet. They are now doing this for all the ceremonies and it is such a great idea. Families who have to wait in the hotel because there wasn't room for them on the list and even families at home who couldn't go at all can now be a part of this fantastic celebration. I wish they had had this when my daughter was graduating so my mom could have watched it. It starts at 8:45 am Central time. Here's the link, there is also a chat :)   Click herehttp://navylive.dodlive.mil/
The video will display under Live Events during broadcast.

That is very strange.  Please call the PAO today  847 688 2405 and let them straighten it out for you.  Almost sounds like they changed ships (barracks) but are still putting Ship 9 down.  If they are in a different barracks, the ship number will change.  Let us know what you find out.

Good Morning All !

I think it would be better to ask the ladies in Div 319/320 what the address is that they are mailing letters to, Andrea.

How could my son make that kind of mistake?? That worries me!! Are there any other moms out there on
ship 9? What did your address say on your form letter?
Comment by Andreaship9Div320 on July 11, 2013 at 11:55pm
It said ship 9 div 320 on the form letter but when you look on the rtc sight Ohio street is for ship 2,3 an4 I think I am so confused
Comment by diannep on July 11, 2013 at 11:23pm

Andrea:  The link I posted with the addresses is from the RTC site.  You may want to call the Public Affairs Office tomorrow and confirm which address is correct since it was different on the form letter.  Did it say Ship 9 on the form letter or was his division moved to a different ship?
