Hello everyone!  I didn't see a thread started for this division, so I thought I'd get things started!  I don't know about you, but I was ridiculously excited just to get the form letter.  I hope I don't pass out when I get my first handwritten letter from my son, lol.  I'm sure he's enjoying himself.  When I got the initial, "I made it here safely" phone call, he sounded like a 6 year old who'd just gotten to Disney World.  As far as he's concerned, he's living the dream!

I am absolutely loving this site and it's wealth of information and support.  I only wish I'd found it prior to bootcamp.  Can't wait to get to know some of the other DIV -264 moms!

Nice to meet you.  I hope so too.   A letter would be great!  I saw that some loved ones in other divisions for our PIR got some phone calls already.  I'm like 90% happy for them and only 10% jealous.  Okay, maybe more 70/30, but still.  That's pretty good, right?

Hi..i got first letter yesterday and we also have a FB group of our specfic div and ship if youre interested.

Awesome!  I don't suppose you have a link for that to share? I can't seem to track it down.

also since div 263 is our brother the FB includes that too..you might want to add them to your title here too..as they train together and do Battlestations together..i wonder if they eat and sleep in same section /time too..?

hi..i copy and pasted from top of my FB page while on group..so im no whiz..hopefully thats all it takes!..admin needs to approve as its closed for privacy..which i love..but here you go..

Thank you!  Gives me another place to obsess, lol.

Okay, there are only three of us in this thread.  Do the families of guys in these divisions not know about this amazing site?  I wrote to my son this morning (usually do it while I'm having coffee) and told him to spread the word.

Hi, my SR is in div 263.  I've gotten a couple of messages from him over the internet as he is going through security clearance.  It was basically to let me know he's ok and has received our letters.  Letters are so important!!

No kidding.  It was like Christmas morning over here when we got our first letters last night!  I thought I was going to die.  The mail man didn't come until almost 6 p.m. I was about ready to hunt him down, lol. Great to meet you, PamperedMom.  And fabulous name!

Lexi, we're in Texas too.  And Frank is in 264 too!  It makes me wonder if he's gotten any mail yet, poor guy!

my son told me he and Frank became very good friends.  and hope they can bunk together in s.c..  glad to know that.  we have a house in n.c.  maybe we can all meet out there sometime in the future. we are currently live in fredericksburg tx

Hey, Cecila!  That's fabulous! I certainly hope they can bunk together at Nuke school.  It would be great for them.  Fredricksburg is one of Frank's favorite towns. I'd love to get together in SC.  I'd love to see you at PIR!
