~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

I'm so glad that they will be there though.

I'm his step-mom but feel like his mom. He was living with us 100% of the time for the last 10 years and his dad deployed all the time (and mom lived in another state). I basically raised the kid.
He chose his moms side of the family as his 4 people. So I'm kind of sad about that.

A little TMI but processing. :)

Any moms or family members that can not attend PIR Friday, let me know and we can be there for them. We have tons of moms and family members on the PIR 8-29-14 facebook and are willing to adopt these kids!  I even have some extra PIR ribbons that I can add their name and Div and take some pictures for you.

Evan's mom - You are not alone. We can't go either and will be watching online. I'm going to be hitting screen print every time I see him to see if I can save photos that way. ;)

EvansMom:  Be sure to post your picture request up in the your division discussion group above....I'm sure some of the ladies in 270 will be happy to help!

debnavyrecruitmom:  Check into Lovells at Lake Forest.  Many have taken their sailor there (I understand lunch is not as crowded as dinner).  Ju---others have posted in groups before that one that it was great----owned by the astronaut.  Sailor eats for free.  Very quiet and nice place....a bit pricey, but worth it from what others have said on here!

Is there any good listings of restaurants that are local for after PIR?  we're trying to plan a nice lunch out somewhere but didn't see much in the brochure that came with the form letter.
