Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 942

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I understand -- right there with you!  Her boyfriend and a buddy came over for dinner tonight and I was whining about it.  Her boyfriend and I both were pouting.  I said "I hate this, and there is nothing I can do about it, which I hate even more!!"  She was in SIQ last Sunday, so she couldn't call then.  I was just talking to my parents.  When there are so many ways to have contact with someone these days, it's even harder to tolerate such fractured contact.  I feel even worse for her knowing that she needs it even more than I do.

Hang in there!!!

Nope.  Ours called home 2 weeks ago from this past Sunday, and a week from last Sunday she called her bf.  That's it.  He told me that she was told they may only get 2 more calls before PIR.  Hoping to get a few more than that!

Anxious, did you get a letter today?  I know the mail can run goofy depending on where you live, but myself and my mother-in-law both got letters today.  Hope you all got one too!

Great news!!!

Anxious...which "A" school?  Ours is going to Fort Lee for CS.  I think it's between 6-8 weeks.  Charlie...how's your daughter doing?  With a great mom like you giving her good advice and cheering her on I hope she's kicking butt!

Jools...I think it's hilarious you "stalked" your daughter.  Better to get the lay of the land in a non-stressful situation then trying to figure it all out when your nerves are shooting to the moon the day of PIR.  How long did it take you to get on base?  I'm sure on PIR the line will be pretty long.  :P

Yooper,

It was a 45 minute drive on a sunny Saturday.  I plan on attending Sarge's Meet N Greet and so I will be going Thursday afternoon and need to expect it to take over an hour as I pass O'Hare airport on the way and traffic gets really congested around there.

My daughter will be doing A school in Pensacola.  I really hope she will have a later flight on Saturday so we can have some time at the airport together.

I have been thinking about everyone hoping you are all doing well.  I have my moments :(

Take care!

Jools

Anxious,

I am so sorry to hear about your Grandma.  I am so glad the Red Cross was able to get you a chance to talk to your husband.  Prayers for you and your family.

my daughter in this division to. she will be going to virginal a week after graduation. she is a cs. didn't hear from her last week phone call wise. hoping to hear this week. she said this division has earned the sccholastic award. from what i understand it means doing good overall. so proud of each of them for working so hard.

Thanks Jackie for the news!  That is great to hear about the scholastic award!  Very proud of them and their hard work.  :)  Guess our daughters will head to Fort Lee together...hope they don't have to wait too long at Great Lakes before they go.

Anxious sorry to hear about your loss.  Thankful during this time of mourning you were able to talk to the hubbie.  Hoping we ALL get calls today.

Don't forget to put call fwding on if you're not going to be home...never know...today could be the day!

Jackie,

My daughter was on SIQ the last 2 Sunday's, so today is 3 weeks since I last spoke to her.  I am trying hard to brace myself for the chance that they may not get calls today, so your news about the Scholastic Award is wonderful to hear!  Thank you for sharing that :)

Jools
