Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Hi belovedbyHim. My SR is on Ship 12 Div 325. He is actually my nephew. His Mom is my sister. She does not have internet access, so I joined NavyforMoms to help her out. She is stressing a lot. Wants to hear his voice. Hopefully it will be soon.

Kitygal12- We waited 4 weeks for the first real call.  Our SR called the Saturday before but only got to talk for 2 minutes.  This week we talked for nearly 40 minutes!  I'm hopeful that we'll get calls on Saturday each week but I know it is subject to change.  I hope you get the call soon so that you can hear that sweet voice of your SR.  What Ship/Div is he?

I got a call today from my son who is on Ship 14, Div 324. He didn't get to call yesterday because he was doing watch.  He sounded pretty good but you felt bad talking for very long because other kids wanted to make their phone calls :(

Does anyone know how they work out the calls home? I see that some parents received their phone calls from their SR and our family hasn't.

Got my first call from my daughter today.  She is in division 942 and she says it is half female and half male.  Wonderful to hear from her!!!  She had her bottom wisdom teeth pulled and is still recovering from that.
