In support of my boys in BC, I have been walking every morning at 0500.  I told my sons before they left that I would be up early with them.  It gives me time to think about them, pray for them and start my day off well.  I am getting in shape and I feel like I can relate somewhat to what they may be doing in the mornings.

That is so sweet!  I said i was going to exercise every day like my son, I have been pretty good so far, but really going to try to exercise each day till PIR.  I have been praying for my son too.  I know the first few weeks must have been stressful!  Cant wait to see his shaved head!!!  Sons are true love <3

No letter today... =(

Actually received no mail at all so it makes we wonder... maybe the mail truck broken down or ran out of gas....

lol..

Hoping for one tomorrow but loving hearing everyones news!!

I checked today also and nothing.  Guess I will just keep on writing and hoping.

Nothing for me today either!! Hoping for tomorrow! I'm so jealous of reading about other peoples letters and their achievements they already have!! I need to hear from him! I still haven't received the form letter yet either. Thinking hubby was silly and put wrong address or something.
Has anyone received anything today? I haven't gotten a letter yet! Can someone message me the address they have for their SR in div 274 just in case I'm not writing it to the right place

Hi.  I have received his box and form letter, but I haven't received any letters from my son either.  I just continue to write to him weekly.  He's not a writer and I'm thinking I may never get a letter and that is okay, as long as he knows we support him.

Hi Navy moms!  My son  is on ship 09 div 273.  We received the box and form letter so far.  Have sent letters but waiting for first letter from him.  What a blessing this website is!  How nice to connect with other Moms who know just how I feel. Did anyone else cry a river the first week?  How exciting when we are all together for PIR!!  We are from Gilroy, CA : >

so has anyone gotten a real letter yet?

Ok Moms - Please dont be upset - I received two letters this morning dated July 17 - One was a letter and one was answers to a questionnaire I sent - the letter says his bunkmate kept on getting them in trouble , and has since quit and now things are going much better, he now has a new rack mate Brownbarkley?from Philly (the kid was writing fast and its very scribbled) He must have received some of my mail because he said he hasnt noticed anyone not getting letters from loved ones, something i say in every letter is if he sees anyone not getting mail to tell me and i will send letters , jokes, etc. In his Q&A I asked what week # day # and he wrote who really cares !!?? LOL WE DO !!! I asked amount of time to write and he said all days that end in Y but only at night, short time , his RDC is the bombdiggity, very agressive, mean muggin all the time LOL , His Battle buddy is Markese from St Louis - said he is one funny dude and has his back ! - He said if he had one wish it would be to take a long hot shower by himself and eat a burger, fries a diet coke and some redman (yuckO)

So for the SR's in 273 - according to this letter, they have minimal time at night to write - I hope other Moms/wives/ gf's are getting letters - He also stated that so far I am the only one he has written to and that I have to share my letters with all his friends and our family.

Hang in there Loved ones !!!

Thats awesome :) Im happy for you Jenn.. My hubby sent the form letter on the 19th and I recieved it today. I got a small personal note on it that says "I love you.. Im getting your mail!!! :)" So Im glad hes recieving my mail!! Im thinking I will have a letter on Thursday since it seems the mail come here in 4 days!! I really hope so!!

My son is in Ship 09 Div 273 also. He also said he misses being able to shower alone, and driving, eating when he wants and more. He said the food was amazing... Of course I'm a horrible cook, so whatever they are serving must be better than what I made. We have received two letters so far.
