Any news for you sailor? I am on the facebook pages but just checking here as well.

No news Jenniferlee...no letters and no call...still waiting........and not enjoying it.

Also on facebook...keep checking back.

I didn't recieve a letter yesterday. :(

Received first lettter from my sailor yesterday - he had sent them on monday - it was all the ones that he had writen so far - he said that he had made a lot of friends - that it was really hard and tiring.  He sounded down a bit in the first letters from say the 17th but when he had finally gotten my letters he was better.  He said the time of day that he is able to write is his favorite time - (which seems unlike him) and that the food is good.   IT does seem they they are being clobbered by the Drill Seargents but they are all in it together.  I am hoping this actually is mid point and it will be getting a bit better...  Hope you get your letter today.  The Mail seemed to slow - I should have gotten them on Wednesday it seems.

Thanks SandReid for the update...my letter was Thursday, and it was about the same...IT is killing mine...and he says that he seems to be the favorite for it, IT...ironic!!LOL

TAPS and mail call were my SR's favorite...although I think mail call is the far out in front favorite now...and since they're only writing on Sundays for the time being...well, it's really making the days seem a little brighter.

If yours is anything like mine, being out of communication, any communication, is killing him!

Hope we get calls this weekend...will def. make me feel better!

Hang in there!

the family recieved a letter Thursday evening. We were so excited to hear from him and his brothers and sister were happy he wrote each of them. He sounded good so I feel better. Keep praying for them all.

Hello! My boyfriend is in div 275. Did anyone receive a call on Sunday? My boyfriend wrote me last week and told me they should get to make calls on the 29th but maybe they lost the privilege. Or maybe he just didn't call me. Just curious.

No calls yet MissMe27.....but that may change at any moment...make sure you stay close to the phone!!

Cross your fingers...my SR in 276...so I'm hoping today!

I got a call a little while ago!!! So good to hear his voice :-D

Head's up 275/276 - calls are coming in!

Thanks Cookie for putting the all call out there!! I was so excited I totally dropped that ball!!LOL

I hope everyone got their calls tonight...my SR said that everything's fine and they're on week 3-1 starting tomorrow. He said everybody's a little sick, coughs mostly, but it's nothing serious, so not to worry.

Food is good...Mail call is the most important part of the day, and starting soon they'll be able to write more than just Sunday (Add Tues/Thurs if all goes well!)

Big sigh of relief here....

Thanks to all for supporting each other...and me!!

Got my phone call yesterday!! I was so happy. He sounded good. My mom missed hers and he left a message for her. He said he loves the mail. He has several friends. Talked about how the food was good. he also had a cough but was good. Talked about running everywhere and drinking lots of water. he said he was ready for some fast food. LOL
