My son is 04/818. His girlfriend got a very short letter last thursday. He said they only had 10 minutes to write. Lets hope this week (tomorrow or Thursday) we ALL get letters! Please let the rest of us know if you do.
I think this is week 3, but I guess it depends on how long they were in Processing, waiting until their division filled up... their days may be a bit off. What I hear is that while they may get a phone call on week 3, it is up to their RDC, who will reward them with a call, or not. I have my fingers crossed that this sunday they may be able to call.
We got a letter today, as did my son's girlfriend. So happy to hear from him. And then... she got a PHONE CALL! Did anyone else. I heard of a few from 818 who got calls, but then there was a lot of yelling in the background, and they all had to go. So the calls were only about a minute long... maybe they will get a chance again soon...
I know! I tried to see if it was a setting I could change, but can't. I saw your message, about the phone calls. Weird. And now I imagine we have to wait until next thursdays letter to find out what happened... or if that is just standard operating procedure. How is your son doing? Mine is still having a tough time. Says the letters are easily a highlight of his day. He just hates how negative everyone is. He says he understands the RDC's, that is their job. But he said they spent days in medical while the nay tried to find things wrong with people, and even the dr.'s and nurses are negative and mean... He did say he thinks their RDC is funny, but it is hard, because they aren't allowed to laugh. I haven't yet heard if their are females in the division... which I want to know when looking at the random photos on facebook! Do you have that info? Anyone know if 818 is all male or a mixed division???
Pittsburgh was hot. Actually we were outside Pittsburgh, near the Flight 93 memorial, if you know where that is...
