I'm sure it's not!  He said that things weren't bad just that he hoped that they could work as a team so they could earn phone calls..  We received a real letter!  He was upbeat and said that overall it was a great experience.

ya i hope not my hubby either!!! OMG!!! a real letter!!! SWEEET!!! I heard you dont get those til after week 3 and after DEERS paperwork!! super lucky!!! OKAY now MY hopes are up and I will revert to stalking my mailman! LOL...

Are you sending calling cards? I was thinking to do so...

I would send a calling card.  We sent one with our son in hopes that they would get to call!  He said that they were able to write letters this past Sunday.  They only write on Sundays though..  I sure hope you guys receive one.  It's a relief to know that they are doing well...

So excited for you!!!

i was checking fares from sfo to ohare or mke and its very similar pricing..... I might have missed it but have u booked yet or no for flight or hotel???

Yes we have booked our flights and our hotel.  Flying into Milwaukee on Wednesday and staying at the Residence Inn.  We are staying until Sunday so I hope they have extra time after graduation.

what is Deers paperwork?  If they were able to have written on Sunday I wonder why we haven't gotten letters yet?  I need to go get a calling card and mail.  I should have done that.  Yes, we booked our flights already from Houston to Chicago.  The whole crazy entourage is going even though only 4 of us can get it.  The rest will wait outside I think I read that they can wait in the lobby for seats if available?

DEERS Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System since Im a wife I need him to send me paperwork in order for me and my daughter to get military ids and also health benefits... i dont know if moms get a copy of that for his/her records to keep...im not too familiar just know im waiting for those papers so i can go to base and get that squared away for us. :)
ya were booking flight hotel and rental... I looking to see what way is cheaper the package or separate.

I booked the whole shooting match through southwest.  you might want to call to see if they offer discounts to military dependents?  We're getting in early Wednesday morning and leaving Saturday.  Aaron is staying on at Great Lakes for his A school.  He will be a gunner's mate.  We're staying in downtown chicago and renting a car because my daughter wants to shop also and she's never been to chicago.

Our whole crazy bunch is going also.  We sure hope everyone can get in but if not it will be great for us all to be together anyway.  We are arriving Wed afternoon and leaving on Sunday afternoon.  Won't it be great if they receive extra time with their families?
im sure if priviledges got taken away they probably have to prove to their leader that there improving pay attention learning growing etc etc... i hope if thats the case they realize that they need to work together to make bootcamp less hard on themselves as possible.
I wonder how many people are in their division.  I'll do my best if I talk to my son. And I"ll say that in my letter today also.  Are we allowed to say names on here?

Hey ladies:  I found this link.  Have any of you seen it? http://www.navyformoms.com/group/bootcampmoms/forum/topics/question...

I hope it works if you click on it.  It's these little survey type things that you can print and send to your recruit.  For those of us with kids, it's probably better for them than sitting down trying to write.  I don't think my son has ever written a letter in his life..lol.  well, if the link doesn't work try to look for it.  I fouhnd it under our group PIR 9/1/2011, etc etc...Thanks ladies..I have to get ready for work, but here's hoping we all get GOOD GOOD things in our mailboxes today!
