Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Anyone else out there with a son/daughter on this ship/div???? Can't wait for graduation, just hope we get to spend some time with him and he doesn't leave right away after PIR.

SurfinCin, I'm from Northern Cali., If I can, I'll try to get a picture for you.  I'll try to have my son find him.  My son is one of the chaplan assistants of their group.  Have your son identify himself to my son and I'll make sure we get whatever messages, pictures, cell phone videos back to you if we can.
Hi! My son is ship 12 div 286...I am driving to chicago for PIR from CA. His A school is there. Ive learned alot from this site but what I gather there are some things we should not talk about for our childrens safety. Glad to meet you!

aww all the pics and hugs are so welcomed , his 23rd birthday is aug 31st the day befor grad too, it is killing me not to be there :(  my son is the only 1 without navy issue glasses lol  they have to special order them, where in calif are you  i am in orange county.
